Bhavan’s Library

Establishment of a leading Library was one among the objective of the Ramanattukara Kendra. We constructed a semi permanent building on the campus during the year 2002 and started the library. Initially, we had only 1500 books received from the Central Bhavan, Mumbai and some well-wishers. Thereafter, we purchased about 6000 books useful for the student of our school and the BRITE. Our collection includes latest volumes of Encyclopaedia Britannica and such other reference books. We are planning to increase the books on various subjects so as to improve the reading habit of our students. We have a collection of Question banks, Practice books and learners’ guides also for the common use of our students.

We have started to develop the digital section of our library. Now we have more than 300 Audio and Video CDs covering the entire curriculum of the core subjects taught in our Vidyashram and BRITE. These CDs are reserved for the regulated use of our students. The Education technology lab and Language lab of BRITE are very useful complementary facilities for our digital library. Moreover the ‘Digitally System’ offers unlimited reference sources.

Apart from the general library, we are arranging a separate Kid’s library at our Bhavan’s Vidyamandir exclusively for the children of Nursery section which will consist of books, CDs, Educative toys and the like useful for the mental and intellectual development of our kids.

We request all the students, parents, and well-wishers of the Bhavan to contribute good books of their choice liberally to enrich our library in to a treasure house of knowledge. The names of the donors will be published in Diary from next year onwards.

Ample facilities are provided for sports and games in the campus. Apart from a foot ball ground, there are shuttle court, volley ball court and badminton court.
